Week Four- Hidden Letters in Life
These are a few of the old letters from my Junior High years. We used to to pass these "hockey pucks" around in class. They are from both my closest friends at the time and my childhood sweetheart. My daughter found them in the basement a couple of years ago. I didn't know that they had survived my several moves and the many years. Of course she wanted to read them all but I told her that I had to look them over first. I have only partially done so but have decided that at least for now they will remain my "Hidden Letters in Life". I wouldn't want to give my middle schooler any ammunition! :-)
Piano light.
Elliptical trainer
Okay, letters are just not jumping out at me so here is a different take.
I went with the "b" but you could make a case for either with this hanging bracket.
I have been amiss at posting this week but have the pictures on my computer Guess it is time to catch up before the next theme starts! :-)
Not a great picture but he is my new little red valentine for today.
Googling as a way of avoiding the piles of dirty laundry waiting to be processed. I need to stop leaving my computer out and running because I am way too guilty of drive by googling.
Thanks Angie for setting such a bad example for me. :-)
I didn't have my DSLR with me yesterday so I had to use my canon P&S for the two Starbucks pics but I made sure to take the time to enjoy this guilty pleasure.
Calgon take me away! No luxury of daytime soaks for me but the two little ones came out all squeaky clean today.
A most personal treasure that all too often is taken for granted.
I try to make these once a season and use what I write in my family blog to add narration. All the more reason to get better at taking pictures. My kids love looking at these and I am sure they will eventually become some of their own personal treasures.
Grandmothers's favorite beach towel... Precious, an excuse to visit her favorite spot by the sea in February... Priceless!
This towel has to be 30 plus years old and still works great and it is the coolest thing to see my own kids use it.
A few of our many CDs. I had fun taking this picture today because it gave me the opportunity to listen to some songs that I had not played in a long time. Fun, fun!
Angie, thanks for your PS assistance. I need to break down and buy CS4. One of these days... :-)
Added some background music but it doesn't seem to be playing on all browsers? More tweeking to be done...
I should budget my time better because this one was a real quicky but surely my washing machine is a personal treasure of mine even though we have an ongoing love/hate relationship. I just can't bring myself to watermark my dirty laundry though. :-)
These are my most precious personal treasures but after this I will add personal treasures as I think of them but not posted in any order of significance.
Okay, it is 10:30am and I already have my picture done. Maybe, just maybe I can keep this up. I thought these beautiful swans were heading over to get a piece of me when they turned my direction and paddled back to the beach at a furious pace. They ended up playing nice and once they realized that I was only interested in taking their picture and not feeding them or jumping in the water, they decided to swim off.
I had some good ideas for a mixure of colors today but it just doesn't fit into the schedule, so I am posting a picture from last week. Colors of the sky are always beautiful. :-)
I cheated with the timing of this one and took it a couple of nights ago when I could get my husband to play along and hold the sparkler for me. I know there will be days that I will miss altogether or won't have time to post until a later date but I am having fun and learning. That's the whole point, right? :-) My idealistic goal is to have 365 pictures on here by the end of the year but my realistic goal is to post a minimum of one picture per week, so that I can explore all the themes. Please feel free to leave constructive criticism or ideas on how to approach an idea differently.
Today kicked off the first official day of project 365. The weather is less than perfect for outside photos, so I started with a picture of some pretty roses for day one.
